Nap time

Lately I have been obsessed with Pinterest and the amount of ideas that you can find are endless. I found a great idea of painting over an old canvas or picture here. I had a couple of old frames that I purchased from Ikea a while back and just never found the right print for them. I pinned this quote and it fit perfectly on the old print. So once we tuck Emmeline away safely for nap time we started our project. An hour and a half later we finish just in time for sleeping beauty to wake up. A project that came out perfectly and a happy baby is a win win for me :D

The frame is a shadow box type so it is kind of hard to take a picture of it in the sun. Hopefully when the sun goes down I can get a better picture of it.

Family adventures

Lately the weather has just been perfect for outdoor adventures. So yesterday morning we decided to get up and go geocaching. If you never heard of geocaching it is like a scavenger hunt with a gps. Yesterday was our first time geocaching and it was tons of fun!

I have a confession to make everyday around 1-1:30 Emmeline and I go to play in her room so I can sit by the window and watch for the mail main. I know it is kinda sick but when you order such cute diapers you can not help but wait for them to come.

Beach day part 2.

Beach day.

Todd's mom, sister, and our handsome nephew came down for a week to celebrate Emmeline's first birthday with us. Today was our last full day with them and we decided to go to the beach. Everyone needed a little fresh air and what a perfect place to go!

It is official!

We are parents of a one year old... I can not believe it has been a year! This little girl has change our lives in such an amazing way. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful child on the inside and out. She makes everyone smile with her bright personality.

Two months into the fluff

We are almost two and a half months into our cloth diapering adventure and I would have to say it is the best decision we have ever made! Yeah it did take time getting use to the swing of it but once we figured out what diapers worked for us it was a breeze!

Where has the time gone?

Oh Dear Emmeline you are 9 months old now and this time has just flown by. It felt like we were waiting for you to get here forever and now that you are here each day just passes by so fast. We try to treasure each and every moment with you.

Switching

So finally after 9 months Todd and I have finally decided to try out cloth diapers again. When Emmeline was born I got so discouraged about cloth because none of them fit around her tiny little legs. So we chickened out and just stayed with disposable diapers. Then it I felt like we were buying diapers once a week and just burning through the biggest box of diapers you could buy.

Ugh I am awful at this....

I promised myself that I would keep writing on our blog and I have done the complete opposite.... SO a big update :D

New and exciting things

Yesterday was an eventful day at the Grindstaff house hold. Todd got to put Emmeline's highchair together that he has been dying to get out. When we put Emme in it she looked so big!

Tag Blanket

Emmeline has recently become so amused with tags on blankets, toys, and clothing. I wanted to make her a tag blanket before she was born but never came around to it. So I finally sat down and made her a blanket. It turned out so cute and I was proud how good it looks on my first attempt :)

Update

So I decide to finally continue writing our wonderful life story. Now that we have a sweet baby girl I want to write it all down so we can look back and reminisce of our life journey.
Our beautiful baby girl just turned five months old on monday and boy has the time flown by. It feels like just yesterday we were rushing to the hospital because my water broke. It is truly amazing to watch her grow each and every day. Lately her new favorite thing is to shake everything to make noise. Sometimes she whacks herself in the face but is only upset for a second. She love to see herself and talk to the cute baby in the mirror. She loves her puppies and her puppies love her. Todd and I are so blessed with such a good baby. She is always happy and is only cranky when it is time to sleep. I love our sweet little family :)

OUR NEW PUPPY

This is our puppy Cash. Todd named him after Johnny Cash. We have had him for about 4 weeks now. He is 10 weeks old and growing fast. Every where we he attracts so much attention and he loves it. Hopefully everyone will be able to meet him.
